Description: Celery Seeds are the tiny, dried fruits of a wild variety of celery native to Eastern and Southern Europe. These highly aromatic and extremely flavor packed 'seeds' can be found in a supporting role in a vast array of foods and cuisines where they enhance and round out other flavors, add savory-ness, and impart a wonderful 'green' vegetal note. Celery Seed pairs exceptionally with fish and seafood and, when paired with tomatoes, Celery Seed highlights their natural sweetness making them indispensable in tomato based sauces. Use sparingly as these 'seeds' may be small but they are definitely mighty, using too much can enhance their bitterness and can easily overpower a dish!
