Description: Integral to the North African kitchen, Chermoula (pronounced ‘Sher-Moo-Lah’) is a traditional marinade, sauce, and seasoning found in Moroccan, Algerian, Libyan, and Tunisian cuisine used to flavor meats, fish, and vegetables. Tasmanian Spice Traders’ Chermoula Spice is a convenient dry version with all of the complex, bold, vibrant, tangy, warming, slightly spicy flavors and aromas of the classic wet version that can be used in all the same ways and so many more!

Tasmanian Spice Traders’ proprietary Chermoula Spice contains no added salt making it perfect for those requiring a limited salt intake and giving everyone the flexibility to season their meals to their own preferences.

Suggested Uses

Use our Chermoula Spice to add authentic flavor to Koftas, Kebabs, and Tagines. Use for Chermoula Chicken, Zaalouk Kromb, Shlada Khizzo Shakshouka Bayd, and much, much more…

  • Use as a marinade for meats and fish by whisking together 2-3 Tbs Chermoula Spice, the juice of half a lemon, 3 Tbs olive oil, and salt to taste. If you warm the ‘marinade’ it makes for an incredible dip for flatbreads and pita!
  • Use as a dry rub for meats, fish, poultry, or vegetables before roasting, grilling, smoking, or frying
  • Use it in sauces, soups, stews, or braises for a flavorful kick
  • Mix with ground meat for incredible burgers, meatballs, or meatloaf with a Moroccan flair
  • Add a bit to your rice, couscous, or hummus for a vibrant boost of flavor
  • Sprinkle over popcorn, french fries, roasted corn-on-the-cob, salads, scrambled or deviled eggs, rice, smashed potatoes, or anywhere else you can think of!
