Description: Garlic is arguably one of the most popular spices in the world, cultivated for so long that its origin is impossible to pinpoint. Garlic has been introduced and enthusiastically embraced worldwide and is now found in almost every cuisine. While garlic is technically a vegetable (more precisely a bulb) it is typically classified as a spice, whether fresh or dried, because of its primary use as a seasoning. Granulated Garlic is simply coarse ground dehydrated garlic with the same general flavor but is more potent by volume than fresh garlic, and has a smoother, sweeter, more rounded flavor that is less 'harsh' and aggressive. Compared to Garlic Powder, Granulated Garlic is best used in dishes with high liquid content and longer cooking times, as it needs more time to hydrate, release its flavor, and infuse into the dish making it a perfect way to add a savory ‘back note’ and distinct garlic flavor to dishes.

Suggested Uses:

Granulated Garlic is extremely versatile and can be used almost anywhere you want to add a burst of garlicky flavor - When using as a substitution for fresh garlic in any recipe, use ¼ - ½ teaspoon of granules for each clove of fresh garlic, teaspoon of fresh minced, or ½ teaspoon of fresh garlic paste

  • Use as a table condiment in place of salt or pepper to add flavor (and a bit of texture) without added sodium
  • Hydrate with 2 parts water and spread over buttered bread before baking into perfect garlic bread
  • Add to dry rubs, marinades, sauces, soups, stews, dressings, and dips
  • Dust over vegetables, steaks, burgers, chicken, fish, or shrimp before grilling or roasting
  • Sprinkle over pasta, rice, pizza, scrambled eggs, smashed potatoes, or anywhere else you want a pop of garlicky flavor!!
