Description: Paprika is the preeminent spice in Hungarian cuisine, so widely used, it traditionally comes in eight different varieties that range from mild and bright red to pungent, spicy, and pale orange in color. Arguably the most common Hungarian variety is the bright red sweet or ‘Édes Paprika’ which is made from authentic Hungarian sweet paprika peppers that are sun-dried, deseeded, and ground into a fine, silky powder. When compared to ‘regular’ paprika, Hungarian Sweet Paprika is on a whole other level; ‘regular’ paprika is considered rather one dimensional in flavor but, Hungarian Sweet Paprika is packed with bold, complex, sweet, fruity flavor that brings foods alive! Tasmanian Spice Traders is proud to offer REAL premium grade Hungarian Sweet Paprika grown, dried, and processed in the Bács-Kiskun county of Hungary that offers unparalleled color and flavor
