Description: Dried Pomegranate Seeds (‘Anardana’), both whole and ground, are used in Indian, Pakistani, and Persian cuisine as a souring agent for chutneys, curries, salads, and beverages while in the Middle East they are used to flavor pastries and breads. Anardana is used to add a sour tang to dishes without the liquid that tamarind or lemon juice would add and is a key component in the traditional Indian spice blend Chaat Masala that is used as part of and as a condiment for India’s famous street foods and snacks known collectively as ‘Chaat’
Suggested Uses:
- Add to smoothies, cocktails, and other non-alcoholic drinks to add an intense fruity flavor and a sour tang
- Use in jellies and jams to enliven flavors
